Nordonia Band Aides
Hello ~
Welcome to another fun year with the Cleveland Browns! Our first event will be the Kenny Chesney Concert on Saturday, May 24. This is a huge concert, and we will need as many volunteers as possible to maintain a concession stand and at least two portables. Please let me know if you would like to volunteer on this date so that I can put you on my list.
Before any new or returning volunteers can work at this event, it will be necessary to complete a mandatory training session. The training dates are as follows:
New Volunteers
Thursday, April 17
Thursday, May 1
Tuesday, May 13
Returning Volunteers
Thursday, May 8
Thursday, May 15
All training will take place in the Grid Iron Grill on the south side of the Stadium, and all classes start at 6 PM sharp. Late arrivals will not be allowed to enter the sessions once they have begun. On-street parking is available.
For our New Volunteers, this class will cover all aspects of customer service and alcohol awareness, and you will be required to take a short test to qualify for alcohol certification. Your picture will also be taken so that a badge can be prepared for future volunteer entry into the Stadium.
For our Returning Volunteers, the class will review the customer service portion of the presentation. Returning Volunteers must bring proof of alcohol certification to be admitted to class (TEAM or TIPS cards are acceptable).
If you are a Returning Volunteer and your certification for alcohol service will expire in 2008, you will be required to attend a New Volunteer training session so that you can take the test. No alcohol certification tests will be administered during the Return Volunteer training sessions.
Training sessions last anywhere from 2 to 4 hours depending on the class size and material to be covered. Please wear comfortable shoes and clothes as a tour of the stadium or a visit to a concession stand may be included in the presentation.
Please contact me at 800-447-1667, Ext. 494, or Linda.Roberto@Davey.com at least two days in advance of the training date you have selected so that I may make a reservation for you. I will also be able to let you know of others who will be attending on that date so that carpool arrangements can be made, if desired.
Volunteering at the Browns Stadium is a wonderful opportunity that will benefit both the Nordonia Band and help defray the cost of Band Camp and band trips. Points are earned which turn into $$$ for your student's account. Help with one game or several, and invite your family members and friends to help, too. Anyone age 19 or older is eligible to participate in this fundraiser. Points add up fast when you and your family/friends volunteer together.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me or our other group leaders who will be glad to give you more information:
