Pep Band Dates and Holiday Concert Make-up date

Hello…

Our Holiday Concert has been rescheduled for THURSDAY, JANUARY 10, 2008 @ 7:00 pm IN THE HIGH SCHOOL AUDITORIUM!

Many of you have asked for a pep band schedule… here it is!

Memo, Week of November 5th

Tonight [11-5-07] is our Marching Band Concert, 100 pts. Doors open @ 6:00 PM, Attendance is at 6:20 PM, we will line up @ 6:40 PM. Concert begins @ 7:00 PM.

Thursday evening conferences... Due to conferences, there will be no rehearsal this week.

Saturday evening Football vs. Canton Hoover @ Massillon HS, Paul Brown Stadium, 100 pts: Doors will open @ 4:00 PM, Instrument bus @ 4:30 PM, load students @ 4:45 PM and depart for the stadium. The game begins @ 7:00 PM

* Directions to Massillon

Due to construction on Route 241, use the following directions to Saturday night's playoff game in Massillon.

I-271 South to I-77 South
I-77 South to Route 21 South toward Massillon
Exit Route 21 turning left onto Lake Avenue
Follow Lake Avenue to Wales Rd. (Route 241) and turn right
Follow Wales until it dead ends into Lincoln Way
Turn left on Lincoln Way and follow to Tremont
Turn Right on Tremont
Paul Brown Tiger Stadium and Washington High School will be on the left hand side of Tremont at the top of the hill.

Thursday, November 1, 50 points: Mandatory Rehearsal! States are tomorrow!

Friday, November 2nd, 6.02 x 10^23 points, ok only 200 points: State Marching Band Finals!!! Load buses @ 12:45 PM, depart for Columbus @ 1:00 PM. Eat dinner @ Polaris Fashion Place, and proceed to Dublin Coffman HS. See attached directions. The only addendum to the directions: From Polaris to Dublin, you can ignore the first direction of going west on 750 and make a legal u-turn. You have the ability to immediately go east on 750 (Polaris PKWY) from the mall. We will go into official warm-ups @ 6:00 PM, perform @ 7:15 PM, and awards @ 8:15 PM. We will load our equipment and depart for home. We hope to return home by 11:30~45 PM. Listen for the phone blast! A Couple of Updates

Dear Parents,

Senior Parents... Please don't forget that tonight's Senior Night festivities take place during Pre-Game... Please line up on the away side of the track no later than 7:00 PM. Mrs. Hayes will be distributing flowers and lining parents and students up in alphabetical order at this time.

Please don't forget that tomorrow is the Community Pep Rally. Doors will open to the band room @ 12:00 PM. Fifty Bonus points will be awarded... Yes, all are welcome. Please come and perform for the community members at our football stadium, even if you arrive late due to the ACT test! We probably will begin our performance around 12:30 PM. We appreciate everyone's time to participate in this additional event.

PIE SALE UPDATE

Just a reminder to everyone that the fall pie fundraiser forms

are due back to the band room on Tuesday, October 30th. Please

remember to attach all checks and cash to your order form. Checks

should be made out to Market Day.

Pie Pick-Up will be on Thursday, November 8th at Rushwood Ele

between 5:30-6:30. If you have a true conflict and can not pick up that

day please contact me at 330-468-0323 and let me know. I am sure that

we can work out other pick up arrangements.

The pie form is on our band website. (Thank you Tom D.) It is not too late

to print it off and sell pies. With the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays

right around the corner, Market Day Pies will sure come in handy and save

you a lot of time and work. Plus they are really yummy!!

I am looking for someone to sell Lancer Gear on Friday night at the football game. Since I have a senior and also hand out uniforms, I will be unable to do that. Anyone that is interested and available, please contact me at lmong@windstream.net

Beth,
Just to let you know, I am making the flowers for senior night and I will
bring the flowers for the seniors to the band room on Friday before the game
and pin them on their uniforms. Please tell the seniors to have their
parents meet on the AWAY side of the track and I will pin the mothers
flowers on there. I will also have the parents line up in alphabetical
order at the same time.
