Pictures

All pictures for 2007-2008 have been sorted through and the appropriate ones are now available for viewing. Yay!

If your name is on the no photo list erroneously, please talk to your homeroom teacher and tell Tom when you get it all sorted out. I really want to put as many pictures of as many people as possible on here, it really saddens me when I learn that I haven\'t been putting someone's pictures on despite the fact they allowed it.

Anyway, check them out!

More videos will be coming shortly as well :)

Memo, Week of September 10

Dear Parents:

*
Tonight is a very important Band Aides Meeting.  Items on the agenda include our upcoming OMEA Band Competition, Football Concession Stand opportunities and a presentation from the Athletic Boosters discussing the upcoming levy to support the refurbishing of the Athletic Facilities.
*
Thursday Rehearsal, 6-9 PM, 50 points:  Don't be late!  :)  Doors will open @ 4:30 PM so that students may have an opportunity to test music and hold sectionals.
*
Any sectionals scheduled for the week must be approved by the directors.  Watch the white board in the front of the band room for the sectional schedule.  All sectionals require mandatory attendance by the section members and will count for 25 points each.
*
Friday, September 14, Football Game home vs. Brunswick, 100 points:  doors will open at 4:30 PM.  We will allow music testing from 4:30 to 5:00 PM.  Uniforms @ 6:15, attendance @ 6:30, depart for field @ 6:45 PM.
*
Mr. Hoefler is available at 7:00 AM daily to test music.  Please make an appointment.
*
Sunday, September 16, 100 points:  Northfield Bicentennial Parade from Northfield Cemetery to St. Barnabas on Olde Eight.  The Band Room will be open for students to pick up their instruments and uniforms from 12:15 PM through 12:45 PM.  There will be no bus transportation for this performance.  Students will be responsible for getting to the parade route starting point on their own (approximately Northfield Cemetery area).  Please have a ride available at the end of the parade route (St. Barnabas parking lot).  This is a great time to set up a carpool with a friend.  The Band Room will be open to return all uniform and instruments/equipment for approximately 30 minutes after the parade ends.  All uniforms must be returned at the conclusion of the parade.  Further information will follow as we receive it from the Parade Committee.

Memo, Week of 9/4

Memo, Week of Sept. 4

September is already here...  And so is competition season!  We encourage you to log into PROGRESS BOOK and track your child's progress in music testing and attendance.  All pregame and performance music may be tested as many times as it takes before September 20 to get an A.  After September 20, the highest possible grade will be a B.  The Grading Scale drops one full letter grade each week the student tests the song past the due date.

The Nordonia "Lancer" Band website is up for the 2007-2008 school year! Come visit the site at http://nordoniaband.org.
Amongst the cool features of the website are:

               *       Copies of these e-mails in case you loose one or something.
               *       Pictures of marching band members in action during football games.
               *       Videos of the band from various performances.
               *       A calendar of events for easy viewing (you can subscribe to it if you have a Google Calendar)
               *       A chaperone system, so if you are a parent interested in volunteering for an upcoming football game or something, you can sign up online instead of playing phone tag with Mr. LeMaster.
               *       And more.....

I have put countless hours into the creation of this for your enjoyment - please use it, and if you want to talk to me, drop me an e-mail. Again, the address is http://nordoniaband.org.

               Thanks,
