Band Card Sale Opportunity

Posted by Tom Dooner on 2007-09-01 13:44:39
Hello Nordonia Lancer Band,

You have an opportunity this weekend to get out and sell your remaining or extra band cards.  Big Lots in Northfield is having a holiday weekend sidewalk sale on Sunday, Sept. 2 from 11:00a.m. until 4:00 p.m..  They gave me a call and asked if we were interested in manning a table there to sell our cards. By now, I know many of you have already sold your initial 10 cards, but we have many more available!  Remember, the band earns $5 for the first 5 cards you sell.  For every card you sell after that, you will earn 5 points for your personal band account.  So if you sell a total of 15 cards, you'll get 50 points to help pay for your next band trip or band camp.

Because this is a group effort, points earned for all cards sold will be split between those working the booth.

We need only 2 or three band members to make this work and a parent volunteer will be needed to chaperone.

Please call Mr. Hedman at 330-468-6931 if you are interested.  This is a first come, first serve opportunity.  Sorry for the short notice!

Hi,
When you send out your weekly newsletter, could you let parents and students know that I will be placing a Lancer Gear order at the end of this week, if they are interested in ordering?  Also, that we have plenty of the original Lancer Gear sweatshirts and blankets in stock that they could get right away.
Thanks!

Browns Training Dates

Posted by Tom Dooner on 2007-08-18 09:20:48
Good morning!  Figured I would catch up on some email on this beautiful Saturday morning...  Can't beat the weather!

I am forwarding the message below about Browns Training dates...  We haven't yet received any information about the Cuyahoga Falls or Kent Band Shows yet... If a mailing from these host schools doesn't arrive by Monday's mail, we will forward directions and the time that the show actually begins.  Most of the time, we try to include actual performance times so that you can arrive with plenty of time to get a good seat for the show!

Let us know if you have any questions...  Have a great weekend!

Hey Band!

In preparation for Tag Day, please save your coffee cans for us!  Please bring them in on Monday evening, August 20th, our Band Aides meeting night.

Thank you to all who have just turned in their card forms!  Please send those in if you haven't signed them yet.  Mrs. Brookover visits the Band Room daily and can have cards in your hand quickly!

Next week is a busy week...  Not only is it the first day of school, but we will have a Monday evening "Dress Rehearsal" from 6-8 pm and a Band Aides Meeting, Cuyahoga Falls Band Show on Tuesday, Kent Roosevelt Band Show on Wednesday, Rehearsal on Thursday, our first Football Game on Friday at Amherst and Tag Day on Saturday, August 25th.  This is the busiest week of the year, literally!  Hang in there, we will get through it together!

I will send an email out later this week with directions and performance times!  Let us know if you have any questions.
