Band Card Permission Form

Posted by Tom Dooner on 2007-07-20 13:53:07
Hi Band Parents and Students,

It is time for our annual Community Band Card Sale.  Attached to this email
is a permission form that must be filled out in order for your band student
to sell cards.  The card sale is an awesome way for your student to earn
points for his/her account to help to defray the costs of future trips and
camps.  Our sale is going to officially start on July 23rd.  Please have
your permission form back to the band room by that date if possible. Your
student will get their cards when their permission form is received.   Each
student will be given 10 band cards to sell  (I have plenty more if you need
them). Your student will receive 4 points in his/her account for all cards
they sell beyond the first 5.  Our sale will wrap up on September 28th.  All
money and unsold cards must be turned into me by that date!!  Although this
is not a mandatory fundraiser, it would be fantastic if we could have 100%
participation from our band students:>)

If you have any questions about the band card sale, please contact me at
330-468-0323 or email me at Shellbrook@adelphia.net.  Please make sure that
you put band cards in the subject section of the email so I don't think that
it is spam.

Thanks so much and have a great summer :>)

Dear Lancer Band Members and Parents,

The Nordonia Band Aides are ready to start the sale of the Community
Discount Cards!  Each card will be sold for $10.  Every member of the band
is asked to sell a minimum of 10 cards each to help the Band Aides General
Fund. The profit (4 points) from each card sold beyond the first 5 will be
added to your Student Account fund to help defray costs of future trips or
camps.  More cards will be available if needed.

Before cards will be issued to students, permission slips must be signed by
the student and parents and returned to the band room.  Please return your
permission slips as soon as possible, preferably before band camp!    We
hope that you will seriously consider selling these cards to aide the
organization that provides so much of the financial support to our students.
If you prefer not to sell the cards, a donation to the Nordonia Hills Band
Aides would be greatly appreciated.

Please return any unsold cards and all money by September 28, 2007.  Checks
should be made out to the Nordonia Hills Band Aides.  Shelly Brookover is
heading up this fundraiser; if you have any questions, please contact her at
330-468-0323 or email at Shellbrook@adelphia.net
<mailto:Shellbrook@adelphia.net> .

Thank you,

Nordonia Band Aides Organization

Marco's Pizza

Posted by Tom Dooner on 2007-07-12 12:14:15
Nordonia Band Members and your families!

As most of you already know, Marcos Pizza in Macedonia has been helping us raise money for the band by donating 15% of all Tuesday orders when the Nordonia Band is mentioned upon ordering.  Don't forget this fundraiser will continue throughout the summer as well.

We would like to make Tuesday, July 24 a HUGE Marcos day.  So let's see if we can make them really busy and have everyone (and their family and friends) call to order and mention the band on this day.

Also, watch soon for details about Lancer Band night at Rosati's!

As always, thank you for your continued support for our kids and the band.

The Lancer Marching Band colorguard will be having a car wash July 8th, 2007 at the Sunoco Gas Station at the intersection of routes 8 and 82 (across from Bestbuy). They will be there from 9:30am to 2pm and are asking for donations.

If you have a dirty car, this is a great chance to get it cleaned!

If you are an upperclassmen and are interested in applying for the position of squad or section leader, please send me an email!  I am collecting all applicant's letters so that Hoef and I can review them before camp.  If you sent a copy of your letter to Hoef's email, please resend it to my address.

Attention Freshmen:  If you haven't given me a phone number to add to our phone blast list, please send that to me.  The list is a great way to let families know about last minute details and arrival times.

As always, if you have any questions, please send us an email or voice mail!  We look forward to seeing all Freshmen and Squad/Section Leader candidates on July 17!  :)  :)  :)

Website up and running!

Posted by Tom Dooner on 2007-06-21 22:42:08
Hello everyone! I am proud to say that the website is up and running for the 2007-2008 school year.

Among the changes made in preparation of this year:
  1. A re-worked layout compatible with older computers
  2. A brand new layout for the video section.
  3. A new calendar which can be subscribed to with Google Calendar technology.
And a bunch of smaller changes designed to improve the look of the site all around!

As usual, thank you for visiting the website, and I will do my best to keep it updated throughout the season... so check back often!
